Here's a quick update on our subscription drive – and some important news about the FrameLab Book Club.
This has been FrameLab's biggest year yet, and we're growing!
Our winter subscription drive has also shown promising results. Since last week, 61 free subscribers have become paid subscribers. This generous support will help keep FrameLab independent and paywall-free in 2025. Thank you!
Our current goal is to reach 1000 paid subscribers in early 2025. If you can, please help us get there! Join 537 fellow FrameLab readers in becoming a paid subscriber today. With your support, we can expand our work at the most critical time in our nation's history.
FrameLab doesn't have corporate sponsors or billionaire backers. But we do have you! And that's all we need.
End of year stats for 2024: 12,050 total subscribers (11,513 free, 537 paid).
The FrameLab book club is off to an amazing start. A total of 389 readers responded to the poll (so far), and 97.9 percent said they plan to participate in the book club. We'll start by reading one of Dr. George Lakoff's major books.
The vast majority of book club participants (87.4%) are free subscribers and 12.6% are paid subscribers. We love you all! But we're going to figure out a way to make this extra special for our paid subscribers...so consider becoming a paid subscriber today!
And finally: Which book will it be? Well, there's definitely a favorite: The Political Mind: A Cognitive Scientist's Guide to Your Brain and Its Politics.
Over 44% of respondents voted for The Political Mind, so it appears to be the most likely choice. But there's still time to vote! If you haven't already, click here to learn about the book club and fill out the poll. (Poll closes on Saturday.)
The book club will start in early January and we'll send out a message then. If you'd like to get started early, you may want to check your local library to see if the book is available. The Political Mind has a healthy lead in the reader poll, and I'm quite certain that will be our pick.
We love public libraries! But we also love it when people buy books. We hope you will consider supporting your local bookstore if possible.
Buying from Bookshop.org is an easy way to help keep small, independent bookstores alive. You can support small bookstores – and help FrameLab – by using this special FrameLab Bookshop.Org link.
Happy Holidays, and see you next year.
